AAAdventure Camp

Expressions of Interest Now Open
for the Variety Alopecia Areata Adventure Camp 2019!

Alopecia Areata Awareness Week kicks off with the Camp on November 9th and 10th! This year we will be hosting our camp at the Gold Coast, QLD!

The Variety Alopecia Areata Adventure Camp is an opportunity for kids aged 18 and under with any form of Alopecia Areata to come together for an exciting weekend. The camp is free for kids with AA, including flights, meals, accommodation and activities.

The Variety Alopecia Areata Adventure Camp will be a fantastic opportunity for kids living with Alopecia to make friends, learn about the condition and – most importantly – have a very fun time. This year we will be exploring Dreamworld and Whitewater World theme parks, and enjoying sporting fun and challenges at the BLK Performance Centre and Sports Supercentre.

If you are offered a position at the camp, you will be required to make a deposit to secure your position. This deposit is fully refundable after attendance at the camp.

Parents are able to join their child at the camp, but must pay their own way.

AAAdventure Camp 2017

In 2017, the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation and Variety – the Children’s Charity ACT/NSW ran the first ever Alopecia Areata Adventure Camp, generously supported by Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation.

This weekend of adventure was hosted at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in DubboCentral NSW and thanks to our generous supporters, was completely free for kids with alopecia to attend. You can read a full recap of the AAAdventure Camp 2017 over on our blog.
