Australia only. Join a clinical research study investigating a potential new treatment aimed at promoting hair regrowth and improving quality of life.
By taking part in this study, participants may gain early access to new treatment options and contribute to vital medical research.
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational treatment or a placebo.
Treatment is given by intravenous infusion (IV) at regular clinic visits under the supervision of trained medical staff.
Throughout the study, participants will attend scheduled health assessments that include photography of the scalp to track hair growth, blood tests and thorough medical check-ups. These visits are designed to carefully monitor your progress and overall health.

Location
The study is held at both our Sydney clinics, Momentum Darlinghurst (located in the Holdsworth House Medical Centre) and Momentum St Leonards (located in the North Shore Health Hub)
Duration
The study will last up to 40 weeks with 13 in-person clinic visits
Key eligibilty criteria
- Participants are 18 to 60 years old (male) OR 18 to 75 years old (female)
- Have severe to very severe Alopecia Areata with ≥50% hair loss of the scalp
- Have had your current episode of hair loss for 7 years or less
- Have had no signs of hair regrowth in the last 6 months
Other criteria applies. A member of the Momentum Clinical Research team will check if this study is a good fit
Compensation
