Save the date for November 10th and 11th and join us at the Alopecia Areata Adventure Camp!
This amazing camp for kids with Alopecia Areata ran for the first time in 2017 and was a huge success. During Alopecia Awareness Week 2018, we’re hoping to have even more kids involved.
This year we will be hosting at The Summit, an outdoor adventure park just outside of Melbourne. There will be challenges and activities hosted by The Summit’s highly trained team. Age appropriate activities will range from high wire courses to reptile encounters. Confidence building and team activities will be a strong focus.
Thanks to funding provided by Variety – the Children’s Charity, this event is free for kids with Alopecia Areata. Everything from flights, accommodation and food is included. Where necessary, parents are able to accompany their child at their own cost.
The AAAdventure Camp is a fantastic opportunity for kids with Alopecia Areata to meet others with this condition. Members of the AAAF team will be running workshops about living with alopecia.
After the camp in 2017, we released a survey to kids and parents who attended. 100% of them stated they would recommend the camp to other families living with Alopecia Areata. 100% of them also said they would love to attend again!
So save the dates for the 10th and 11th of November, and we look forward to seeing you there.Updates coming closer to date. Be sure to register with AAAF to stay up to date with all the latest on events near you.
