In this video, meet Chel Campbell — founder of Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation (AAAF) and a long-time advocate for acceptance, awareness, and research around Alopecia Areata.
Chel’s journey began 26 years ago when her young son was diagnosed with alopecia. Faced with limited treatment options and a society that defined identity by hair, Chel chose a path rooted in community, and hope.
What started as classroom resources for her son grew into a nationwide foundation. In 2010, AAAF was officially born and today, it supports thousands through 5 major programs; the Donate Hair program, NoHairWeCare, Grant a Wig – For a kid, Sponsorship Program and our kids Alopecia Camp.
This video shares the “why” behind AAAF and the power of one mother’s commitment to change how we see beauty, identity, and community.
