The figures below represent my commitment to displaying the AAAF logo both at my tennis club and when participating in the sport. In particular, it demonstrates me actively featuring the awareness posters in a visible location at Blackwood Tennis Club, helping to raise awareness about the condition.

Since the 30th of January, I have made significant progress in raising awareness about alopecia in the community and have communicated the importance of baricitinib being included on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

The above photographs represent my visit to the Memorial Drive Tennis Club, an icon of South Australia. I spoke to the general manager of Tennis South Australia about alopecia and the importance of baricitinib being on the PBS. The manager allowed me to position information and flyers on their notice board as well as talk to the staff and other patrons about the condition. I also wore an alopecia shirt in order to promote the AAAF facebook page. This experience was significant because a profound interest regarding alopecia could be felt at the club, particularly from the manager who asked about my journey.

I am pleased to announce that my Division 2 Senior Team for Blackwood were victorious in our tennis grand final. On the day of the event, I was committed to promoting conversation about alopecia, which can be evidenced in the figure below. As I was awarded a plaque recognising the winning team, I was requested to deliver a short speech about my teammates. In particular, through my speech, I also spoke about my struggles with alopecia, detailing the mental burdens I face. This approach effectively promoted awareness about the condition to over 30 individuals present at the club, demonstrating my involvement in being an advocate for alopecia within the community.

This sponsorship has funded my private tennis sessions and squads, which I participate in on a regular basis. In particular, it has provided me with a platform to communicate to the other players at my squads (who are of a younger demographic) about alopecia.
