November 2026: We're headed to Campaspe Downs, VIC

AAAdventure Camps

A weekend with people who just get it.

On November 13th-15th 2026, we are heading to Campaspe Downs in Tylden, VIC, for a weekend dedicated to fun, friendship, and personal growth. Set amidst the beautiful Victorian countryside, this camp offers a fantastic opportunity for kids and teens living with Alopecia Areata to connect with peers who truly understand their journey.
From heart-pumping outdoor activities to relaxed evenings by the campfire, it’s all about building confidence in a supportive environment. We can’t wait to see both new and familiar faces for another unforgettable year!

What is the AAAdventure camp? It’s super fun, filled with memorable experiences, and a fantastic opportunity to meet other kids with Alopecia Areata. Plus, it’s a chance to have an absolute blast!

What normally happens at camp? Prepare for exciting activities like Go-Go-Stop, Half Pipe, Key Punch, and many more! We’ll also have workshops to boost confidence and resilience, all supervised by highly trained and award-winning staff.

How it works, and what you need to know

+ Places are fully funded: AAAF completely covers the costs for all attending children who have a form of Alopecia Areata.
+ Inclusions: The funding covers flights, accommodation, catering, and all camp activities.
+ Parents: Parents are allowed to accompany their children but must cover their own travel and attendance expenses.
+ Selection & Deposits: Because spots are strictly limited, a fully refundable deposit is often required to secure a position once approved.

+ Diagnosis: Attendees must have a diagnosed form of Alopecia Areata
+ Location: Open to children from anywhere across Australia

Typical activities at camp look like:

+ Outdoor Challenges: High ropes courses, flying foxes, giant swings, abseiling, archery, and team games.
+ Special Outings: Some years feature excursions to major attractions, such as a day at Aussie World or Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
+ Resilience Workshops: Supervised sessions led by trained staff focus on building self-esteem, managing identity, and developing psychological confidence with Alopecia Areata.

Our Experiences

I just want to say a big thank you for another fantastic camp. [K] was on the first one in Dubbo and has just completed her final camp. She has really benefited from these camps, made new friends over the years and loved helping the younger kids as she got older!

We are very grateful to have had this opportunity given to her and it is all thanks to your hard work and endless efforts to support kids and families with Alopecia and making more awareness to the community!

Thank you for what you do. [L] has enjoyed the camps over the years.

He may not say much at camp but took in a lot. A few years ago, I was filling in the post camp survey form with [him]. When I asked [him] what he liked most about camp, I expected him to say playing a type of sport. He replied "Listening to others talk about having Alopecia."

Thank you for allowing [L] to enjoy and experience AAAF camps.

I wanted to reach out and say thank you so much to you and AAAF for putting on this camp. It was the very first time Cara has been together with any other children who have Alopecia, and she hasn't stopped raving about all of the friends she has met and the fun that she had. I am so very grateful that she's had this experience.
