Abbie – Sponsorship Update

Hi I’m Abbie and I received the amazing dance sponsorship from the AAAF in 2023. This is my final wrap up for the sponsorship that allowed me to participate in so many different activities over the year that I am so thankful I got to do.
I performed at 3 competitions and performed 1 jazz troupe dance,1 tap troupe dance and a hip hop troupe which we won at all 3.
Competitions can be stressful but when I’m dancing all the nerves and butterflies go away. Dance comps are 1 of many events that have danced at before.
Last year I performed on the telethon stage live with my jazz troupe and a little girl who was singing the song. I love dancing at telethon because I always used to watch it when I was little and I think its amazing how it does so much for the western Australian community.
I have recently performed at 3 of the Perth glory games held at HBF park. At Perth glory we always arrive before the game starts even though we are only on at half time, we still need to get 1 final practice in on the field and then we are off to one of the entrance gates welcoming everyone to the match.
At the end of each year my dance studio (The Performance Company) holds a showcase showing all the dances that the students perform from the tinies all the way to the seniors. The showcase is always a heap off fun and a huge accomplishment to everyone. I really enjoyed dancing on the field at half time and hyping the crown because I love to dance and I got to dance so I was having the time of my life.
The only reason I got all the amazing opportunities to dance and share my passion was because of the AAAF sponsorship which let me take all my dance lessons and get to perform with all my friends. Thanks to the AAAF for this opportunity I am very grateful and will continue to dance.
