Piper – Sponsorship Update

My Alopecia Journey: Strength through Taekwondo
Hi everyone, I’m Piper, and I’m 11 years old. I want to share my journey with alopecia and how Taekwondo has helped me build confidence and resilience.
Three years ago, my mum noticed my hair falling out in patches. It was scary and confusing at first, but after visiting the doctor, I learned I have alopecia, a condition causing hair loss.
Living with alopecia has its challenges. There were times when I felt self-conscious and unsure of what was happening. But then, I discovered Taekwondo, and it changed everything.

Taekwondo taught me that true strength doesn’t come from how you look, but from within. It’s about inner confidence, discipline, and perseverance. Through Taekwondo, I’ve learned to embrace my uniqueness and focus on what matters.
With the support of my family and the foundation sponsoring me, I’ve found a community where I feel understood and accepted. Together, we raise awareness about alopecia and support others facing similar challenges.

While my journey with alopecia hasn’t been easy, Taekwondo has been my rock. It’s not just a sport; it’s a way of life. It’s taught me that I am more than my hair or appearance – I am strong, resilient, and capable of anything I set my mind to.
So, here’s to embracing inner strength, overcoming obstacles, and being proud of who we are – alopecia and all.
