Jaime – Sponsorship Story

I was out flying on Friday and have attached a video and photo below.
Sadly, I didn’t get to complete my first solo flight — but who knows what might happen in the future!
Jandakot is more expensive than Serpentine to fly from, as it has more traffic and a different setup. I did, however, manage to complete 10 lessons, and I may continue this in the future to obtain my RPL (Recreational Pilot Licence). With this licence, I’ll be able to hire the club aircraft for $170 an hour and even take passengers up as well.
Unfortunately, I’ll soon need surgery on my shoulder again, which will likely put me out for about six months.
Who knows what the future holds?
Many thanks for allowing me to have this sponsorship — it’s been a real journey!
Reflections from the Day
“What an exciting day! It was a 15-knot crosswind, and my instructor asked if I still wanted to go since the windsock was sideways. I said YES — let’s go!
The maximum we’re legally allowed to fly in is 16 knots, so it was definitely a challenge. Landing in that wind was tough, but we did 10 circuits in total, and I loved every moment.
I’d like to express my deep gratitude to the AAAF Foundation for supporting me on this journey.”
