Lucas – Sponsorship Update

Since my last update there have been no big trampoline competitions. We had a friendly competition at my club, Central Coast Trampoline Sports. I came first on double mini trampoline and 1st on Trampoline. We also had our own competition within our club for our end of year presentation. I came 2nd on trampoline and 1st on double mini trampoline. At our end of year presentation, I was awarded the David Gravy for “Most improved on double mini” perpetual Trophy. It’s the 3rd year in a row that I’ve won it. One more year and I’ll be tied with one of my coaches, Brett Austine, who was awarded it 4 times when he was competing.

In November I was lucky enough to be invited to participate in the Building for Tomorrow Trampoline workshop down at the Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre at Rooty Hill. My coach, Chris and I were there, and we got to work with the Australian Coaches over the 2 day workshop. I got to work on some of my new skills that I’ll be adding to my routines for competitions this year. I got some great feedback from all the coaches, and it was a really great workshop to be a part of. This year I’m hoping to qualify for the Australia Team, so it was a good way to introduce myself to the coaches.

In November I got a job! I work at Heatherbrae Pies in the Gluten Free Café. When I applied for the job I told them I was Coeliac and I think this helped me get the job. When I went for the interview I talked about being Coeliac and having Alopecia. I didn’t wear my hat for the interview because I thought it would make a better impression. I also don’t wear a hat when I’m working. I don’t even wear a hat to or from work. No one seems to be worried about me having no hair. Some little kids noticed and one of them asked me why I have no hair. I’m just tell them I have alopecia.

Central Coast Community news published a story about my sport, trampolining, and my Alopecia Journey. https://coastcommunitynews.com.au/central-coast/news/2025/10/trampolinist-lucas-is-aiming-high/
