What is the AAAdventure camp? It’s super fun, filled with memorable experiences, and a fantastic opportunity to meet other kids with Alopecia Areata. Plus, it’s a chance to have an absolute blast!

Where is the camp in 2024? We’re thrilled to announce that the 2024 camp will take place at The Summit Outdoor Adventure Park.

What will we do? Prepare for exciting activities like Go-Go-Stop, Half Pipe, Key Punch, and many more! We’ll also have workshops to boost confidence and resilience, all supervised by highly trained and award-winning staff.

Join us at The Summit Outdoor Adventure Park from midday on November 22nd until the end of day on the 24th, 2024. This camp is open to kids aged 6-18, and guess what? All costs for kids with Alopecia Areata are covered by AAAF! That includes flights, accommodation, catering, and activities.

AAAdventure Camp 2022

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the AAAdventure Camp in November!

These events could not have been run without the generous support of the AAAF volunteers.  A big shout out to all the AAAF Committee.

We can’t wait to continue connecting with you all in our events throughout the country (which you can find information on here). As for next year’s event, we know it is going to be amazing! Be sure to register with us for updates, including notification when we open expressions of interest for the 2023 camp next year.

AAAdventure Camp 2021

We were so excited to have 85 attendees and reconnect after so many months either in lockdown or with limited in-person events. 

Activities included archery giant swing, high ropes, Vertical challenge, canoeing, maze escapes, board games, table tennis, a zoo visit, swimming, time at the beach, laser tag.

We would like to give thanks to the generous support of Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT, was completely free for kids with alopecia to attend. 

AAAdventure Camp 2020

Due to the many restrictions and changes of COVID-19, the camp will not be running in 2020.

AAAdventure Camp 2019

Thank you to everyone who joined the 2019 camp at the Gold Coast, QLD!

This year we explored  Dreamworld and Whitewater World theme parks, and enjoying sporting fun and challenges at the BLK Performance Centre and Sports Supercentre.

AAAdventure Camp 2018

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Summit in Victoria for an amazing weekend. We were so excited to have 96 attendees and representation from every single state in Australia! 


We can’t wait to see how this event will grow in 2019 – We hope to see you all again at the Gold Coast! 

AAAdventure Camp 2017

In 2017, the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation and Variety – the Children’s Charity ACT/NSW ran the first ever Alopecia Areata Adventure Camp, generously supported by Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation.

This weekend of adventure was hosted at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in DubboCentral NSW and thanks to our generous supporters, was completely free for kids with alopecia to attend. You can read a full recap of the AAAdventure Camp 2017 over on our blog.
