Join us for our WA Open Day and celebrate International Alopecia Day with our WA Alopecia Support Group.
Open Day’s are one of the highlights of our calendar – a fantastic opportunity to meet other people with alopecia, learn more about current research and trials, connect with businesses in your local area supporting people with the condition and much more.
The WA Open Day will feature research updates from AAAF President Chel Campbell, talks from clinical psychologist Helen Bradley on overcoming fears, motivational speaker Jacqui Scott talks about confidence and self-love and educator and academic Dr John O’Rourke talks about giving young people meaning in their lives. Voni Cosier from the Channel 9 series the Block will talk about her personal experiences with AA and what she does to keep healthy. There will be also personal accounts from Clara Jenson and Alison Harley, AAAF Youth Ambassador Cam O’Rourke and a mother’s perspective from Lisa Agar.
There will also be presentations from wig providers, cosmetic brow tattoo artists, hats and scarf providers, and a scalp micro-pigmentation practitioner and a performance from dancer Kara Saich as well as face-painting and other activities for kids.
This event is family-friendly and open to all ages and anyone living with Alopecia Areata or supporting a friend or loved one.
Please note that there are limited options for food (there are vending machines), and attendees are encouraged to BYO.
